Chronic Stress - Stress That Never Goes Away
Today, the world is full of confusion about the financial outlook, worry about jobs, and the Holidays. This can create problems with people who normally do not have stress. Maybe you develop severe stress because you lost your job. Maybe your savings has dwindled and maybe you are facing the Holiday season with little savings and children that will still expect presents under the tree.
Chronic stress can cause mental anguish but can also take a toll on your physical health too. This problem may show up as a weakened immune system and it may cause your body to store fat around the waist instead of spreading it around the hips and buttocks. This increases your risk of heart attacks. These are just two of the ways chronic stress can affect your health. Scientists and doctors also believe it may be a cause of diabetes, heart conditions, early aging and depression. Your immune system will be weakened and you will be more likely to catch colds and flu, and other serious illnesses.
Our body has given us the “fight or flight” reflex if we are faced with danger. Extra adrenaline flows through our body to give us that extra energy we need to either take a stand, or flee from the danger. When our body is under that constant adrenaline rush, it begins to wear down and show up as physical problems.
A normal amount of stress can be good for us. If we are facing a job that we are unsure of, taking a test, giving a speech, or even having a baby our body is fed the extra energy it needs. The body changes, respiration quickens, blood pressure and heart rate rises, and the cells that help heal the body will rush to the site of any wound. This may be good for a short time, but if it continues it develops into chronic stress.
Recommendation:
- Lithium Orotate is an all natural supplement (unlike prescription synthetic lithium prescribed by doctors) that has proven very effective for taking the edge off of chronic stress and anxiety. I have personally used it for the past couple of years and find it very helpful in lifting the stress and lightening my mood. It does not cause any drowsiness or foggy thinking at all–in fact it seems to sharpen my mind and give clarity of thought. Highly recommended!

Warning: If you are currently on prescription anti-depressants, you must work with your doctor to safely discontinue use, if desired. Do not abruptly discontinue use of such medications as this could cause severe withdrawal effects.
